FAQ

What are allocated bottles?
Allocated bottles are typically the items that a distillery releases only a handful of times through the year. These bottles are often regarded as the “best we offer” from distilleries and extremely hard to find - let alone purchase!

In general, most allocated products are not readily available to the general public but instead restricted to individuals who spend a lot with a particular retailer. Instead of going this route, we want to give all of our customers the opportunity to purchase and enjoy these rare items!
Why are you selling allocated products at above-retail price?
We understand that after purchase, many of these bottles get listed on secondary markets by individuals selling at high prices. These markets are subject to fraud, and we want to protect our customers by having them purchase from a trusted name like Zipps.

Moreover, we would rather see those proceeds go to charitable causes that are so important to our society!
How much of your proceeds are going to charity?
Zipps will retain a standard industry retail margin to cover our cost of purchase, including administrative fees, and the rest of the proceeds will be donated to charity. Certain high-dollar bottles have specific donations attached to them as indicated on their product page.

How often are allocated bottles received/inventory updated?
We are continually receiving new bottles and recommend returning frequently to see what’s new! These bottles get released at different times every year so even we don’t know when these bottles will be available!

What will I need to bring the the store to pick up my order?
Please bring with you the following items:

A valid, unexpired driver’s license which shows the name and date of birth that matches the one entered during the checkout process.
The credit card you used to purchase the product online.
A copy of your email receipt.

Can someone else pick up my order for me?
No. Due to the potential for fraud and in accordance with Texas alcohol regulations, only the individual making the purchase online can pick up the product in-store.
When will my order be ready?
Typically your order will be ready within 1 business day.
How long will you hold my order at the store?
Up to 3 business days (Monday - Saturday) after the transaction is complete, after which we will issue a refund and relist the bottle for sale.
What is the return policy?
If you wish to cancel your order before you pick it up, please email orders@zippsliquor.com and allow up to 5 business days for us to process your refund. Timing of credit to your account will vary based on your bank, and can take up to 14 business days.
All sales online are final and cannot be returned once picked up.
All bottles are sold in “as-is” condition; it is the customer’s responsibility to check the physical condition of the product prior to leaving the store. Once you have picked up your order, the bottle condition will be considered as accepted for final purchase by the customer.
Is there a limit to how many bottles I can order?
While we strive to provide access to our allocated bottles for as many customers as possible, Zipps has implemented a new policy to ensure fairness in distribution. Customers are now unable to purchase an allocated bottle within 30 days of their last allocated purchase.
Can you transfer a bottle I purchase to a store closer to me?
No. Texas TABC law does not allow us to transport or ship liquor over county and city lines. For this reason we do not allow bottles to be transferred from any store.
